Cutting the Cord: Movies with Feeln

If Rudy, the movie about the Notre Dame football walk-on, left you with a golden feeling. Or if Hoosiers – about the underdog Indiana high school basketball team – had you jumping off the couch, Feeln is the streaming video service for you. Film producer Rob Fried, who helped make those films as well as Collateral and Godzilla, started the service back in 2007 as SpiritClips. Its new name and makeover, which takes effect today, reflects Fried’s goal of creating and curating a collection of family-friendly films that have feeling. […] SpiritClips caught the attention of Hallmark, which led to its library of movies being added to the service. That led Fried to think bigger and asked Hallmark to invest in SpiritClips so the service could expand its offerings. Now, in addition to the originals and Hallmark titles, there’s hundreds of other big studio films, as well as TV series from BBC and PBS, and children’s TV series such as The Adventures of Paddington Bear and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. – Mike Snider,USA TODAY
