Netflix Streaming Down on Game Consoles

According to a new study by market research company GfK, people are using Smart TVs and plug-in devices (Chromecast, Apple TV, etc.) to access Netflix more and more, which is most likely leading to a decrease in usage on game consoles. For instance, only 43 percent of people stream Netflix through their game consoles this year, which is down 5 percent compared to last year and 20 percent since 2011. However, Netflix streaming on digital media players is up to 28 percent this year, nearly doubling 2013’s number of 15 percent.
