The Witcher Is One of Netflix’s Highest Rated Series

“Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts,” Netflix said. “But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.” – Mathews Aguilar, ComicBook.com » https://ift.tt/2rrKMM4 [photo: Netflix]

IMDb Unveils First Scripted Series ‘You’re Not A Monster’; Sets Sneak Peek At Comic-Con

You’re Not a Monster shows that even movie monsters have emotional issues — because the only thing worse than being undead is being unloved. In the series, Grammer will take a seat in the therapist chair for the first time since his Frasier days as former psychiatrist-turned-vampire who mentors his great-great grandson Max (Stonestreet), a therapist who has inherited his practice. – Dino-Ray Ramos, Deadline Hollywood » https://ift.tt/2G4cDG5

IMDb has launched an ad-supported movie streaming service

[Freedive]’s films and TV shows are available to registered IMDb or Amazon users and Amazon Fire TV owners. (The list of compatible devices is the same as the list for Prime Video.) Fire owners can navigate the service by way of a new icon in the “Your Apps & Channels” section or by telling their Amazon smart device, “Alexa, go to Freedive.” The site says it will continually add new offerings to the site. The site will also indicate on a film’s page if it’s available on Freedive. – Andrew Liptak, The Verge » http://bit.ly/2CeXUpf

Hollywood Studios Flag Their IMDb Listings as “Pirate” Links

Over the past few weeks, we noticed another worrying trend. Suddenly, Google started to receive a lot of DMCA notices for the Internet Movie Database, with the majority of these requests coming from the UK-based reporting agency Entura International. Since it’s unlikely that the movie site, which has been operating legally for 27 years, had suddenly gone rogue, something else must be up. – Ernesto, TorrentFreak https://ift.tt/2CiuKZk
