HBO Go is finally available on the PS4

The HBO Go app for PS4 functions just like the PS3 version, which launched almost exactly a year ago, allowing users to watch their favorite classic and new shows on the fly and in between games. As always, subscribers will need to log in using their cable credentials, with supported providers including Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Dish, and Verizon among others. – Kwame Opam, The Verge

Sony’s Smartphone Offering: Longer Battery Life, PlayStation Streaming

Sony Corp.’s mobile division did what it could to stand out from the crowd at the annual IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin, highlighting new devices with long-lasting batteries that work as extensions for its popular PlayStation gaming console. […] The new devices from Sony will be able to work as extensions for the Playstation 4, and can stream games from the console locally over a Wi-Fi network, using the company’s remote play function.
