Pornhub Reveals Explicit Traffic Numbers

Every minute, on average, Pornhub has 80,032 visits from people who conduct 77,861 searches and view 219,985 videos. That’s 11,082 hours of video watched per minute, transferring 12,550 gigabytes of data. Fourteen videos are uploaded every minute, adding up to about 2.8 hours of video time per minute. These numbers may seem paltry compared with the number of videos viewed per minute on YouTube (4.5 million) or searches conducted on Google per minute (3.8 million), but they’re staggering when you consider they’re all for one site. – Eric Griffith, PCMag » https://ift.tt/2EDXNoE

PlayStation 4 Is the Most Popular Pornhub Console

[As] for which gaming console gets the most Pornhub use, the PlayStation 4 is the big winner. 51.5 percent, just over half of all game console traffic, comes from PlayStation 4. The Xbox One follows with 34.7 percent. At first we just figured this reflected sheer numbers and tech realities. The PlayStation 4 has the advantage of course because there are just way more of them out there. And the similarly popular Nintendo Switch doesn’t have a web browser so it can’t access Pornhub at all. However, the extremely dead Sony handheld the PlayStation Vita somehow comes in third with 9.1 percent. So maybe there just is something special about porn and PlayStation. – Jordan Minor, Geek.com » https://ift.tt/2PiU3zi

PayPal Pulls Out of Pornhub, Hurting ‘Hundreds of Thousands’ of Performers

Most visitors to Pornhub likely think of it as a website that simply provides access to an endless supply of free porn, but Pornhub also allows performers to upload, sell, and otherwise monetize videos they make themselves. Performers who used PayPal to get paid for this work now have to switch to a different payment method. – Samantha Cole, VICE News » https://ift.tt/2KnS4qg

The annual PornHub year in review tells us what we’re really looking at online

The company, which owns most of the major porn sites online, produces a yearly report that aggregates user behavior on the site. Of particular interest, aside from the fact that all of us are horndogs, is that the US, Germany, and India are in the top spots for porn browsing and that the company transferred 4,000 petabytes of data or about 500 MB per person on the planet. – John Biggs, TechCrunch https://ift.tt/2UKcFsn

Pornhub launches ‘interactive’ videos so you can outsource manual labor to robots

While the technology has been around for a while, other adult interactive platforms like FeelMe often charge customers a fee to use the service. Pornhub claims to be the first website to offer the service for free. In a way, the move is a continuation of the company’s foray into VR: it simply adds another level of immersion to the experience. – Mix, The Next Web http://tnw.me/n9dhPKW

Pornhub Piracy Stopped Me Producing Porn, Jenna Haze Says

It all began with a tweet from Conan O’Brien, who belatedly wished Pornhub a happy 10th anniversary. In response to O’Brien apparently coming to the party late, a Twitter user informed him how he’d been missing out on Jenna Haze That drew a response from Haze herself, who accused Pornhub of pirating her content. “Please don’t support sites like porn hub,” she wrote. “They are a tube site that pirates content that other adult companies produce. It’s like Napster!” – Andy, TorrentFreak http://ift.tt/2smsk2a

You can safely visit Cornhub, PornHub’s April Fools’ Day rebrand, but don’t click anything

For its April Fools’ Day prank, Pornhub has cooked itself into Cornhub, your go-to place for nasty corn videos. With titles like “Hot young corn gets plowed” and “Huge group of kernels takes buttery load,” your nether regions will be greasing up in no time. – Gabe Bergado, The Daily Dot
