The news comes as CBS All Access has found success with its revival of Star Trek: Discovery, which the streamer said drove record subscriptions to the platform and has been renewed for a second season. The Twilight Zone joins a roster of CBS All Access scripted originals that also includes dramas The Good Fight (a spinoff of The Good Wife), Strange Angel, $1 and comedy No Activity. – Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter http://ift.tt/2z9DdZE

‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Gets an Honest Trailer — and It’s So Rough the YouTube Comments Are Disabled

Director Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot faced an uphill battle from the beginning, with its trailer the most disliked in YouTube history and the film going on to open to tepid box-office returns (and a $70 million loss for Sony). In a nod to the vitriolic Internet comments the film inspired, Honest Trailers preemptively disabled the comments for this one. – Aaron Couch, The Hollywood Reporter http://ift.tt/2edVOdo

The Most Disliked Movie Trailer In History, According To YouTube

The numbers don’t lie, as ScreenCrush reports that the first trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot has accumulated 507,610 dislikes on YouTube. Just to be clear, this is a ridiculously high number. To offer a few comparisons, the article notes that the trailer for last year’s Fantastic Four reboot currently has 20,175 dislikes, while the trailer for Adam Sandler’s Netflix comedy The Ridiculous 6, which was panned across the board, only has 5,803 dislikes. – Adam Holmes, Cinema Blend

Netflix’s Fuller House is like a porn parody without the porn

How do you mercilessly criticize a product while encouraging the instinct that led to its creation? Because despite the plaintive catchphrase of one Uncle Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), which reappears along with every other vaguely recognizable zinger from the original series, Fuller House doesn’t deserve mercy. The show isn’t just bad, it borders on the obscene, as much an affront to those bemused by a reboot of the sitcom that anchored ABC’s once-mighty T.G.I.F. comedy block as those receptive to it. – Joshua Alton, The A.V.
