Streaming Music vs. Downloading, 2015

In terms of overall growth and projections, the disparities between paid downloads and streaming will only intensify. According to RIAA data, ‘Download Single’ sales plunged 14.9 percent last year alone (in terms of total transactions), with ‘Download Album’ sales dropping 7.0 percent (also in terms of total transactions). First UK music charts to include streaming figures released

US singer Ariana Grande has made British chart history by becoming the first artist to have a No 1 single based on both sales and streaming.
