In December 2017, Netflix reported that Netflix subscribers around the world watched 140 million hours of content per day. Apple is talking to big newspapers about joining its subscription service

Apple has been talking to some of the biggest newspapers in the U.S. about adding their stories to Texture, the magazine app Apple bought in March. US connected TV devices market set for 7% annual growth

Gaming consoles have been to date the leading installed and internet-connected TV device in the US, but NPD now predicts that by the end of 2018 they will be surpassed by the number of streaming media players and smart TVs installed and connected to the internet.
